About the Literature Collections
Each literature collection has been developed with its own specialist editorial board to advise on the selection of texts and editions. Editorial policies may therefore vary from collection to collection; however, the guiding principles of authority, comprehensiveness and inclusiveness have been applied consistently. The general policy has always been to include either an authoritative collected edition for each author or first editions of individual works as appropriate.

Twentieth-Century American Poetry, Second Edition: This digital edition of modern and contemporary American poetry was launched as a Chadwyck-Healey Literature Collection in May 2008. Twentieth-Century American Poetry, Second Edition brings together two pre-existing Literature Collections, Twentieth-Century American Poetry and Twentieth-Century African American Poetry, with over 500 volumes of previously unavailable material. We are delighted to announce that upgraded editions of the King James Bible and Webster’s Third New International Dictionary, Unabridged are now available. The upgraded Literature Collections have a new, bolder and cleaner interface, more intuitive navigation, new background technology and a range of unique features to meet the needs of current users. This upgrade is part of a programme of improvements to the Literature Collections.
African Writers Series: This digital edition of the historic Heinemann print series was launched as a Chadwyck-Healey Literature Collection in July 2005.
