You can search The Faber Poetry Library by the following fields:
From the Search page, you can use the Keyword field to search for any word or phrase contained within a poem. To enter terms into the search box:

When searching in the Keyword field, you can use truncation to retrieve documents containing variations on a term. If you choose to search for more than one term, you can also combine them using Boolean and proximity searching.
Please note that we do not recommend searching on numbers, as although the Summary of results in context will report all hits in the database, including those within database tags (where numbers are most likely to be recorded), only hits in the full text can be represented in any meaningful way in the Summary of results in context.
From the Search page, you can use the First Line/Title Keyword field to search for any word or phrase contained in the first line or title of a work. To enter terms in the First Line/Title Keyword search box:

When searching in the First Line/Title Keyword field, you can use truncation to retrieve documents containing variations on a term. If you choose to search for more than one term, you can also combine them using Boolean and proximity searching.
From the Search page, you can limit a search to a particular poet or poets. To restrict your search to a particular poet or poets, select the required poet name(s) from the Poet drop-down list.
From the Search page, you can limit a search to male or female poets. To restrict your search to a particular gender, select the required option from the Gender drop-down list. If you do not specify a gender The Faber Poetry Library will automatically search on both.
Note: Windows users can multi-select contiguous terms using SHIFT+CLICK and non-contiguous terms using CTRL+CLICK. Highlighted terms can be deselected by moving the cursor to the relevant term and using CTRL+CLICK.
You can limit a search to poems first published by Faber and Faber in a particular year or during a range of years. The default values appearing in the search boxes represent the earliest and most recent years relevant to the The Faber Poetry Library database.
The Date of Publication field can be searched in several different ways:
