Figure

From the Figure page, you can use the Page Toolbar to open a context-sensitive Help page and to refine your original search. You can also use the Right-Hand Toolbar to consult general information about the database, to start a new search, and to access the top-level Table of Contents page.

Pictorial material, some complex tables and certain non-Roman scripts such as Hebrew are scanned as graphic images and are known as figures. Since it is not possible for figures to appear on the screen as they do in the original volume, each figure appears as the icon Figure icon in the Full Text page: clicking this icon accesses the Figure page. The download size in bytes of the figure appears next to the Figure icon. The larger the download size, the longer the corresponding Figure page will take to download.

To return to the Full Text page, you should use the relevant function of your browser. For example Netscape Navigator users should use the Back button.
