From the Full Text page, you can use the Page Toolbar to open a context-sensitive Help page, to refine your search or to access a Text Only version of the Full text, or a contextual Table of Contents. In addition, you can move straight to the first occurrence of your search term.
From every page in American Drama you can use the Right-Hand Toolbar to consult general information about American Drama, to start a new search, to access the top-level Table of Contents page and to switch between other Individual Literature Collections.
You can access the Full text page for a document in one of two ways:
The Full text page contains the text of the plays in American Drama. The order of the Full text is the same as the order of the Table of Contents; alphabetically by the name of the playwright, by title of source volume (where applicable), and then by play. The contents of the plays themselves follow their copy texts in structure and order so that headings and divisions within the copy text are preserved.
A header is displayed in bold at the top of
each Full Text page giving the name of the playwright, the title of the current play and the
name and publication date of the source volume (where applicable) from which it is taken. It is
possible to order the book you are looking at from the Amazon Online Bookshop by clicking
on the
icon, when available.
This is then followed by the main body of the play. A number of standard display formats have been used.
In addition, Figures, Notes and Tables may be accessed from the Full Text:
By means of various icons, American Drama provides flexible and easy to use navigation of the Full text.
