Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature: Summary of Matches

From the Summary of Matches page, you can use the Page Toolbar to open a context-sensitive Help page and to refine your original search.

From every page in the Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature you can use the Right-Hand Toolbar to consult general information about the Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature, to start a new search, and to switch between components of Individual Literature Collections.

The Summary of Matches page indicates the number of hits (i.e. the number of times the search term or expression occurs in the database) and the number of entries (i.e. the number of ABELL records containing hits) retrieved by a search.

The Summary of Matches page also lists the individual records retrieved by a search and gives brief details of each as follows:

Records in the Summary of Matches are sorted in inverse chronological order by Publication Year, and then alphabetically by primary work author and title.

From the Summary of Matches you can move to the Full Record page in two ways.

If you have customised your search results to display the entries retrieved in the form of subsets, you can move back and forth between subsets using the Next and Previous buttons. Using the boxes provided next to these buttons, you can also modify the number of entries you wish to display in the next or previous subset and, in addition, the entry number at which you would like the next or previous subset to start.
